'Caterham test in windtunnel van Toyota met nieuwe neus'

Een nieuwe, meer efficiënte neus zou onderdeel uitmaken van de upgrade die Caterham in de pijplijn heeft voor de Belgische Grand Prix. Dat claimt Speed Week. Caterham gebruikt de windtunnel van Toyota in Keulen om de nieuwe onderdelen aan de tand te voelen.

Een pakket vernieuwingen is broodnodig voor de logge CT05. Volgens Omnicorse blokkeerde de oude eigenaar Tony Fernandes elke update tijdens het proces om het team te verkopen. Een consortium van investeerders uit Zwitserland en het Midden-Oosten heeft de boel nu overgenomen en die blokkade opgeheven.

Caterham hoopt daar op Spa de eerste vruchten van te plukken. De lelijke neus van de CT05 ondergaat waarschijnlijk een metamorfose. Dat vereist wel een nieuwe crashtest. "Nieuw management, nieuwe neus, nieuwe hoop", luidt de kop van Speed Week.

    albers wil in iedergeval wat gaan proberen dat is al heel wat misschien dat hij hiermee iets meer naar marussia kan kruipen we zullen het zien.

    Prima plan. Mooie nieuwe neus erop en ander rijder, alle aandacht trek je dan naar je toe al is het een momentopname. Het kan goed uitpakken en dan eindelijk een goed resultaat erbij en het seizoen kan ineens anders zijn.

    Ik ben in ieder geval blij dat Albers en co. er werk van willen maken, ook nu al tijdens het seizoen.

      @ERWINNAAR , Daar heb je helemaal gelijk in er wordt dan heel veel aandacht aan besteed door de media en daar zijn de sponsors heeeeel blij mee want die zitten alleen maar te turfen hoeveel keer hun merk in beeld komt
