Jacques Villeneuve laat van tijd tot tijd van zich horen. De Canadees is vaak vrij uitgesproken in zijn mening over de gebeurtenissen in de sport. Dat is echter maar gespeeld, denkt Oskari Saari van MTV3. Villeneuve dikt zijn commentaren maar wat graag aan om de krantenkoppen te halen.

Dat is de overtuiging van Saari. "Jacques is een geweldige kerel! Ik vind het leuk om met hem te sparren. Hij is altijd blij en heeft een opgewekt humeur als ik hem zie. Vorig jaar spuwde hij harde kritiek op Valtteri Bottas. Vorige week vroeg ik hem nogmaals naar zijn opvatting over Bottas en hij zei dat dit seizoen veel soepeler verloopt voor de Williams-coureur. Ik heb het gevoel dat Jacques de lol er wel van inziet om een knuppel in het hoenderhok te gooien. Hij is met zijn kleurrijke uitspraken uit op sensationele krantenkoppen."
