Kobayashi: "Om te overleven moest Caterham iets doen"

Het team van Caterham is verwikkeld in een juridisch moddergevecht met een groep werknemers die na de overname van de renstal op straat kwam te staan. De voormalige medewerkers vechten hun ontslag aan terwijl de teamleiding oreert dat het allemaal volgens de regels is gegaan en noodzakelijk was om het voortbestaan van Caterham F1 Team te waarborgen.

Coureur Kamui Kobayashi schaart zich achter het management. "Dit is wat we nodig hadden, anders hadden we het seizoen niet af kunnen maken. Het was de juiste beslissing. Het is algemeen bekend dat na de overname veel mensen het team noodgedwongen hebben moeten verlaten, maar voor ons is het belangrijk om gemotiveerd te blijven. Om te overleven moest Caterham wel iets doen. Voor mij geldt dat ook. Ik dien elke keer weer honderd procent te geven om het personeel te motiveren. Laten we zien hoe het zich gaat ontvouwen."
