Bij Hispania Racing was en is het nog steeds een race tegen de klok om de start van het seizoen te halen. De auto is inmiddels gepresenteerd en de Spaanse renstal heeft met Karun Chandhok en Bruno Senna twee coureurs onder contract.

Laatstgenoemde doet tegenover Motorsport-magazin.com een boekje open over de problemen die nog bij Hispania Racing spelen. Het wordt bepaald niet makkelijk voor ons. Zo hebben wij nog vering-onderdelen van metaal in plaats van karbon en daardoor weegt de auto twintig kilo meer dan we zouden willen. Hoe dan ook, Dallara berekende dat de wagen meteen vanaf de eerste meter minstens twee seconden sneller moet zijn dan een GP2-auto, aldus Senna.
