Boullier schoffelt verhalen over drie auto's per team onderuit

Het bericht van voormalig Williams-directeur Adam Parr op Twitter dat de Formule 1 volgend jaar uit acht teams bestaat en sommige renstallen drie auto's in zullen schrijven moet men niet al te serieus nemen. Dat stelt Eric Boullier, racing director van McLaren.

Boullier erkent dat bepaalde teams het financieel zeer moeilijk hebben, maar hij benadrukt ook dat het idee van Parr voor 2015 sowieso onhaalbaar is. "Ik denk dat Adam een beetje probeerde te provoceren. Het is een feit dat enkele renstallen de grootst mogelijke moeite hebben om rond te komen en ik weet niet ze volgend jaar allemaal nog op de grid staan. Maar we gaan niet naar acht teams met drie auto's per team, zeker niet op zo'n korte termijn."
