Mercedes GP strikt Laureus en Monster Energy als sponsors

Mercedes GP presenteerde in Bahrein twee nieuwe geldschieters. De Laureus Sport of Good Foundation steunt de Duitse renstal en het logo stond afgelopen weekend al op de W01 van Michael Schumacher en Nico Rosberg. Monster Energy is de andere nieuwe partner, het logo van de energiedrankenfabrikant staat per direct op de helmen en overalls van de coureurs.

Monster Energy-president Mark Hall: "Bij Monster Energy houden wij ons niet in. Na een succesvolle samenwerking met Jenson Button hebben we ons betrokkenheid vergroot en zijn ingestapt bij constructeurkampioen Mercedes GP. Ze hebben een geweldige line-up met zevenvoudig wereldkampioen Michael Schumacher en opkomende ster Nico Rosberg en ze zullen onze boodschap bij de honderden miljoenen Formule 1-fans overbrengen."

Boris Becker, vice-voorzitter van de Laureus World Sports Academy, vertelt: "Ik ben een groot fan van autosport en helemaal van Mercedes-Benz. Het is geweldig dat deze twee merken samen gaan werken. We geven hiermee een mooi signaal af en ik hoop oprecht dat meer mensen zich gaan verdiepen in het werk dat Laureus doet om kinderen te helpen via sport."
