Nigel Mansell overweegt functie van racesteward

De lijst oud-coureurs die tot de beschikking van de internationale autosportbond FIA staan om als racesteward te dienen telt al vijf namen. Alain Prost had in Bahrein de primeur en ook Alexander Wurz, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Damon Hill en Johnny Herbert zegden hun medewerking al toe.

Naast Hill heeft de FIA nog een Britse wereldkampioen gevraagd. Nigel Mansell heeft het verzoek in beraad. De wereldkampioen van 1992 laat binnnkort weten of hij beschikbaar is om tijdens een of twee Grands Prix dienst te doen als vierde racesteward.
