Geen nieuwe informatie in update over Bianchi's toestand

Jules Bianchi verkeert nog altijd in kritieke, maar stabiele toestand. Dat blijkt uit een nieuwe update die Marussia in samenspraak met de familie van de Fransman heeft gepubliceerd. Bianchi ligt nog steeds op de intensive care van het Mie University-ziekenhuis in Yokkaichi. Verder geen nieuwe informatie over het uitzicht op herstel voor Bianchi.

In de verklaring staat: "Aanstaande zondag is het alweer vier weken geleden dat het ongeluk van Jules in Japan plaats vond. Hij verblijft nog altijd in het medisch centrum in Yokkaichi. Zijn toestand laat zich nog altijd omschrijven als kritiek, maar stabiel. We hebben verder geen nieuwe informatie, maar we zijn het iedereen verschuldigd om jullie op de hoogte te houden van hoe het met Jules gaat. Hij blijft knokken voor zijn leven."

"Hoewel er wat berichten over zijn behandeling zijn verschenen die het tegendeel beweren, zet hij dat gevecht voorlopig voort in Yokkaichi. We willen andermaal onze waardering voor het geduld en begrip voor de wensen van de familie in deze moeilijke periode uitspreken. De wetenschap dat Jules de best mogelijke zorg krijgt stelt ons ook enigszins gerust. Zodra er meer te vertellen valt zullen we dat doen. Tot die tijd bedanken we iedereen die aan Jules denkt en voor hem bidt."

De familie zal nu vast ook wel denken; waren de financiële problemen voor Marussia maar een paar races eerder gekomen.

Zie dit somberder in dan de toestand van Schumacher.

  Het is inderdaad ironisch dat zowel Marussia als Bianchi quasi gelijktijdig hun laatste race lijken te hebben gereden.
  
  Over Schumacher ben ik niet zo euforisch, maar daar lijkt toch nog wat steeds schot in te zitten.
  
  Bij Bianchi heb ik het wrange gevoel dat het gewoon wachten is tot de familie beslist dat het voorbij is.
