Politie zet roekeloos rijdende Lewis Hamilton stil

McLaren-coureur Lewis Hamilton is aangehouden door de politie in Melbourne. De reden daarvoor was zijn roekeloze rijgedrag. De wereldkampioen van 2008 trok een burn-out en driftte met een Mercedes op Lakeside Drive.

Zijn auto is in beslag genomen en Hamilton wacht een boete en een straf, zo melden lokale media. Hamilton is schuldbewust. "Vanavond reed ik op een roekeloze manier en als resultaat heeft de politie me stil gezet. Wat ik deed was dom en ik wil mijn excuses aanbieden."

    Mag ik zeggen dat dit artikel geschreven is op een manier dat Hamilton bijzonder buitensporig gereden zou hebben? ... Lewis heeft bij het verlaten van het circuit een burnout gedaan op een verlaten weg zonder omstanders. Daarom geeft dit artikel een totaal verkeerd beeld van hetgeen zoals het wel gebeurd is.

      Roekeloos rijgedrag blijft roekeloos rijgedrag. Of de weg wel of niet verlaten is maakt daarbij niks uit. Als het op een leeg parkeerterrein was geweest had je, naar mijn mening, wel een punt.

      Overigens was de weg ook weer niet helemaal verlaten, want de politie was er schijnbaar ook.

      Toch op een verlaten weg waar er politie passeerde dan... Ik vind het artikel niet zo overdreven geschreven hoor, en Hamilton bevestigt zelfs dat hij roekeloos reed, dus ik snap niet hoe je er een probleem in ziet.

    haha, VET! ik zie het al voor me, hamilton in een dikke AMG ff paar burnouts maken en chill te doen op de openbare weg. Zo horen ze te zijn =-), de coureurs dan. Ik meen het, Raikkonen was toch ook zo\'n appart figuur? Als iedereen nou zo zijn eigen ding zou hebben, zouden de coureurs allemaal veel leuker zijn.

    Jammer trouwens dat de vorige reacties zijn weggehaald. Maar waarschijnlijk heeft dit te maken met de server problemen die jullie hadden (f1today.nl).

    Gedaan en (helaas) gepakt, meer is het niet.
    We doen allemaal dagelijks wel iets wat niet hoort, alleen komt het bij ons niet in het nieuws.
    Ik kan er totaal niet mee zitten !
