Red Bull Racing bulkt van verlangen naar succes

Het team van Red Bull Racing is vastberaden om deze winter het gat naar Mercedes te dichten en de regerend wereldkampioen volgend seizoen uit te dagen. Dat is een hele opgave gezien de achterstand dit jaar, maar de Oostenrijkse renstal bulkt van het verlangen naar hernieuwd succes. Zonder Sebastian Vettel breekt in 2015 een nieuw tijdperk aan voor Red Bull Racing.

Teambaas Christian Horner verkondigde aan Crash.net: "Als team hebben we niks meer te bewijzen. Het is alleen dat we hongerig zijn naar nieuw succes. De afgelopen zes jaar is er maar één team geweest dat ons heeft verslagen. Dat is een opmerkelijke prestatie, zeker als je alle regelveranderingen en de nieuwe motorformule in ogenschouw neemt. Alles evolueert, maar binnen het team heerst een groot verlangen om het Mercedes volgend jaar lastig te maken."

Red Bull Racing was het enige team naast Mercedes dat het afgelopen seizoen overwinningen behaalde. Daniel Ricciardo zegevierde drie keer. De Australiër krijgt volgend jaar gezelschap van Daniil Kvyat, die Vettel aflost. Samen met Renault gaat Red Bull Racing er alles aan doen om de kloof naar Mercedes deze winter te overbruggen.
