Force India zet Liuzzi aan de zijlijn voor eerste vrije training

Paul di Resta zal tijdens de eerste vrije training op het circuit van Sepang wederom in actie mogen komen in de VJM-03. De Schot mocht in Australië al in de plaats van Adrian Sutil rijden, in Maleisië zal Di Resta Vitantonio Liuzzi eenmaal vervangen.

Omdat vrijdagtesters tegenwoordig officieel verboden zijn door de FIA, past Force India een slimme truc toe. Paul di Resta wordt ingeschreven voor het raceweekend en zal de eerste vrije training rijden. Hierna zal Force India de Schot officieel laten vervangen door Vitantonio Liuzzi die dan de rest van het weekend gewoon zal rijden.

"Dit is een erg unieke kans dat ik als test- en reservecoureur zulke kansen krijg om te rijden", vertelde Di Resta. "Ik kan niet wachten om in Sepang de baan op te gaan! De teamleden zijn erg hartelijk tegen me en ik kan ze alles vragen wat ik maar wil weten. Ze hebben zichzelf hogen doelen gesteld en ik ben blij dat ik kan meewerken om die doelen te bereiken."
