Stevens noemt LMP1 als alternatief voor Caterham

Will Stevens en Caterham proberen nog altijd met man en macht iets voor elkaar te boksen voor komend seizoen, maar de kans dat ze daarin slagen neemt met de dag af. En dus kijkt Stevens ook om zich heen. De Brit met één Grand Prix achter zijn naam lonkt naar Le Mans.

Stevens verklaarde op F1news.ru dat hij het World Endurance Championship wel interessant vindt. "Ik doe alles dat ik kan om een doorstart van Caterham mogelijk te maken, maar als het niet lukt overweeg ik om in de LMP1-klasse in het WEC te gaan racen."

Hij heeft geen spijt van zijn (voorlopig) eenmalige optreden in de Formule 1. "Toen ik het aanbod kreeg om in Abu Dhabi aan de start te staan aarzelde ik geen moment. Deze kans kon ik niet laten lopen. Uiteindelijk gaf ik niet veel toe ten opzichte van Kamui Kobayashi, hoewel het mijn eerste keer was."
