Magnussen verkozen tot Deense rijder van het jaar

Kevin Magnussen is in eigen land uitgeroepen tot Coureur van het Jaar. De Deen debuteerde in 2014 bij McLaren in de Formule 1. Na zijn eerste Grand Prix mocht hij gelijk het podium beklimmen. In totaal scoorde de zoon van oud-coureur Jan Magnussen vorig seizoen 55 punten.

Kevin Magnussen ontving de award voor Coureur van het Jaar uit handen van Tom Kristensen. Deze prijs volgt een maand nadat hij van McLaren te horen kreeg dat hij dit jaar plaats moet nemen op de reservebank. De racestoeltjes voor 2015 gingen naar Fernando Alonso en Jenson Button.
