Sauber probeert in vrije trainingen nieuwe versie F-duct uit

Het team van Sauber testte afgelopen vrijdag in Melbourne een eigen variant van de F-duct, de vondst van McLaren. Het werd geen succes en de Zwitserse renstal haalde het onderdeel voor de rest van het weekend van de C29. Voor de Maleisische Grand Prix van komend weekend heeft Sauber een nieuwe versie ontwikkeld.

Het team probeert de nieuwe variant morgen uit in de vrije trainingen op Sepang. "We rijden er vrijdag opnieuw mee, met een aangepaste versie", begint coureur Pedro de la Rosa. "We proberen het onder de knie te krijgen. Het is geen makkelijk systeem en in Hinwil werkt iedereen keihard om het op onze auto te integreren. Als het werkt, dan is dat mooi. Zo niet, dan wachten we nog een Grand Prix voordat we het inzetten. Maar we zijn hier wel honderd procent mee bezig."
