Chilton assisteert Carlin bij Amerikaans programma

Max Chilton heeft zich aan het Amerikaanse programma van Carlin verbonden. De Brit was de afgelopen twee seizoenen namens Marussia actief in de Formule 1, maar hij verlegt nu zijn aandacht naar de IndyCar. Dit jaar is hij ontwikkelingscoureur terwijl Carlin zich in de Indy Lights voorbereid op een stapje hogerop voor 2016.

Chilton neemt bijvoorbeeld deze week deel aan een driedaagse test op het circuit van Homestead. "Ik ben heel blij om Carlin te assisteren in Amerika. Hoewel ik alle opties voor 2015 nog open houd, vertegenwoordigt de IndyCar wel een interessante uitdaging. Door het Indy Lights-team van Carlin te helpen doe ik waardevolle ervaring op met het oog op een eventueel IndyCar-programma voor 2016. Hopelijk draag ik bij aan een succesvol eerste seizoen van Carlin in de VS."

Chilton reed twee seizoenen in de staart van de Formule 1 mee. Namens Marussia verscheen hij 35 maal aan de start van een Grand Prix. Daarin scoorde de Brit geen enkel punt.
