Kobayashi stapt over naar Japanse Super Formula

Kamui Kobayashi keert terug naar zijn thuisland om zijn racecarrière te vervolgen. De Japanner kende afgelopen jaar een ongelukkig seizoen met Caterham en kiest nu voor een stoeltje in de Super Formula.

In december testte Kobayashi al in de Super Formula en nu voegt de Japanner zich bij Team Le Mans als teamgenoot van Ryo Hirakawa.

Kobayashi reed in totaal 76 Grands Prix en kwam uit voor de teams van Toyota, Sauber en Caterham. Eenmaal eindigde hij op het podium. Tijdens zijn thuisrace in 2012 eindigde hij als derde.
