Red Bull krijgt positieve feedback op testlivery

De livery waarmee Red Bull Racing deze week in Jerez test, heeft veel stof doen opwaaien. De zebra-camouflage kleurstelling lokte veel positieve reacties bij de fans uit. Dit is nog niet de definitieve livery van de Oostenrijkse renstal, maar teambaas Christian Horner hint wel naar iets wat daar op lijkt.

Hij vertelde aan Autosport: "We zullen de fans van onze testlivery niet teleurstellen. De definitieve livery wordt nog sterker. Het is leuk om eens wat anders te doen en deze kleurstelling is zeer positief ontvangen. De livery is elk jaar veranderd, alleen niet altijd zo duidelijk als nu. Elk jaar is de livery geëvolueerd. Dus wacht maar af."

"We vonden het helmdesign van Sebastian Vettel van vorig jaar in Italië wel gaaf en met Dietrich Mateschitz hebben we toen besproken om dat concept toe te passen op de hele auto. Het geeft goed weer waar Red Bull voor staat; we schuwen niet om anders te zijn. Om in een andere livery te rijden is toepasselijk. Het maakt het ook moeilijker om gedetailleerde foto's te maken in een periode waarin we allemaal zo geheimzinnig mogelijk proberen te doen."
