Renault verwacht dat problemen van Jerez verholpen zijn

Het team van Renault kende in Jerez wat problemen met de krachtbron, maar het Franse merk verwacht dat de mankementen na een kleine aanpassing aan de motor verholpen zijn. De teams krijgen vanaf de test in Barcelona een beter beeld van de progressie van de Renault-motor.

Volgens Remi Taffin, de chef achter het motorsportprogramma, wordt de focus in Barcelona verlegt naar snelheid. "We willen meer aandacht gaan geven aan de prestaties van de motor. We gaan rijden met een specificatie die dichter bij de variant ligt die we ook in Melbourne willen gebruiken. We houden uiteraard ook een oogje in het zeil wat betreft betrouwbaarheid."
