Marchionne verwacht geen wonderen van Ferrari

Ferrari-president Sergio Marchionne heeft de verrichtingen van de Scuderia tijdens de eerste test van dit jaar in Jerez omschreven als veelbelovend. Tegelijkertijd waakt hij voor euforie en tempert hij de verwachtingen. Het is niet realistisch om te denken dat Ferrari na een moeizaam seizoen in 2014 en een grondige reorganisatie nu gelijk mee kan doen om de titel.

Marchionne deelde aan Gazzetta dello Sport mede: "De performance van de nieuwe auto was veelbelovend, maar een hele Grand Prix of een heel seizoen snel zijn is wat anders dan één snel rondje produceren. Ik heb het volste vertrouwen in het team en het werk dat ze verzetten. Ze verdienen het om de tijd te krijgen."

"Ik ben trots op de vruchten die dat nu al afwerpt, maar we zullen zien hoe het uitpakt zodra het kampioenschap begint in Australië. We hebben nog een lange weg te gaan. Ik verwacht geen wonderen, het belangrijkste is om vooruitgang waar te nemen. Bij de test in Barcelona reken ik op meer bewijs van wat we doen."
