Marchionne: "Ferrari gelijkwaardig aan Red Bull"

Naar de werkelijke vorm van Red Bull Racing is het voor de buitenwacht gissen, maar Ferrari doet niks meer onder voor de Oostenrijkse renstal. Die inschatting is afkomstig van Sergio Marchionne, president van de Scuderia. Ferrari bevindt zich in de groep achter het toonaangevende Mercedes.

Marchionne: "We willen uiterlijk in 2018 weer de titel voor ons opeisen, maar we doen uiteraard ons best om het eerder al voor elkaar te boksen. Voor dit jaar zijn we gelijkwaardig aan Red Bull Racing. We zullen zien. Ik wil niet te kritisch zijn, maar de situatie was niet goed toen ik arriveerde."

"De mannen en vrouwen van Ferrari hebben in de afgelopen vier maanden uitmuntend werk verricht. De coureurs zijn tevreden over de SF15-T, maar we mogen Mercedes niet onderschatten. Zij waren vorig jaar indrukwekkend en zullen dat weer zijn. Aan ons de taak om hen te stoppen."

Dan krijgen we een leuke en onverwachte races (& uitslagen). Daar is de sport ook mee gebaat.

    Mooie foto, de kleur is geïnspireerd op het Schumacher tijdperk, blij dat ze weer terug gaan naar het fellere rood.

    Beetje loze kreet voordat de 1e paar races zijn geweest.

    Ook vrij dom, wat wil ie er mee bereiken, of bewijzen. Beetje de Italiaanse macho uithangen?

    Lekker suf als we tegen de tijd dat de Spaanse GP is, duidelijk hebben dat Ferrari toch niet bij RB aan kan haken.

    Dit geeft mij geen vertrouwen voor de toekomst van Ferrari, het is een en al typisch Italiaans gekakel in de ruimte zonder ook maar iets te weten over de werkelijke verhoudingen.

      Maximo wie zegt dat hij het zo gezegd heeft. Blijft een Italiaan die beroerd engels spreekt, wat vervolgens weer vertaald wordt naar het nederlands. Vervang het woordje 'zijn' met 'willen zijn' en het is een totaal andere uitspraak. Hij zegt daarna niet voor niets 'we zullen zien'.

      Daar heb je wel een punt Erwin. Mijn Spaans is best redelijk en als ik zie hoe sommige uitspraken van Alonso wel eens "veranderen" dan kan je best wel eens gelijk hebben.

      Dat had hij nou ook moeten zeggen. Dat hij dit hoopt in plaats van te stellen dat zij gelijkwaardig zijn.

      Sorry hoor, maar als deze man in de toekomst dit soort wensen blijft uitkramen alsof hij weet hoe het zit, dan gaat hij erg vaak hard zijn bakkus vallen.

      Christian Horner of een Ross Brawn riepen ook nooit van de daken dat zei op basis van de wintertests zeker wisten hoe en waar zei stonden, ook al hadden ze vast een gegrond vermoeden dat zei de beste waren. Het is nogal erg lullig als je er op terug moet komen.

    Waar de anderen teamleden bij Ferrari gewoon "hopen" dat ze dichter bij de andere teams zullen staan moet deze man beginnen te schreeuwen dat ze gelijkwaardig zijn aan Red Bull Racing. Dat hij maar eerst een paar races afwacht want hij kan verkeerd op zijn bek vallen.
