Audi geeft geen commentaar op F1-geruchten

De geruchten dat Audi overweegt om toe te treden tot de Formule 1 houden aan. Dit ondanks meerdere ontkenningen van de Duitse autofabrikant zelf. Op een of andere manier lukt het Audi niet om die verhalen van zich af te schudden.

Bij een persconferentie deze week was het weer raak en vroeg een van de aanwezige journalisten naar de Formule 1. Audi-voorzitter Rupert Stadler gaf dit antwoord: "Het bestuur heeft een heldere en sterke visie met betrekking tot autosport uitgestippeld. We doen aan DTM, de 24 uur van Le Mans, we hebben klantenteams en sportieve verplichtingen met dochters Ducati en Lamborghini. Ik ga geen commentaar geven op die Formule 1-geruchten."

In een interview met Stadler voelde ook Blick de topman van Audi aan de tand over de Formule 1. "Met Le Mans en de WEC hebben we het ideale domein voor de overdracht van kennis naar de straatauto's gevonden. We hebben ook concurrentie in overvloed met Porsche, Toyota en nu Nissan. Met alle respect, maar ons autosportprogramma voor de komende jaren is daarmee gedefinieerd."

      Of ze zijn het gewoon zat dat er elke Woensdag iemand met pen en papier voor het Audi hoofdkantoor staat die alleen maar ''FORMULE 1?'' roept.

      Dat zou inderdaad een gedachte kunnen zijn voor als Audi in de F1 ooit wil/gaat, maar Blancpain geeft geen superlicentie punten toch?

    Ik kan me wel voorstellen dat ze geen commentaar geven. De geruchten houden niet aan, die worden in leven gehouden door Bert Maalderink-achtige journalisten die zo lang mogelijk blijven vragen/zeuren/zagen/zeiken of Audi in de F1 gaat, net het konijn uit de oude grap dat iedere dag om worteltaart komt vragen. In de hoop dat iemand zich van woede verspreekt of het zat en roept "All right, all right, i am the messiah...." ehh sorry teveel Monty Python, maar jullie snappen het wel :)

    En morgen de aankondiging dat ze vanaf 2016 mee doen met Frijns als eerste rijder, die nu tijdelijk wordt gestald in de blackpain series. Punten voor de superlicentie zijn alvast met ome Jean geregeld!
