Korte neus Red Bull Racing nog niet goedgekeurd

Het team van Red Bull Racing heeft plannen om nog voor de Australische Grand Prix een upgrade voor de RB11 te introduceren. Het pakket vernieuwingen concentreert zich vooral om een nieuwe, kortere neus. Het enige probleem is dat die neus nog niet is geslaagd voor de crashtests.

Red Bull Racing had gisteren een crashtest en vandaag staat een volgende op het programma, meldt Auto Motor und Sport. Teambaas Christian Horner doet luchtig over het falen van de nieuwe neus in de crashtests. "We testen veel neuzen. Sommige overleven de crashtests, andere niet."

De updates moeten de achterstand van Red Bull Racing op Mercedes verkleinen. De Oostenrijkse renstal lijkt net als vorig jaar veroordeeld tot een achtervolging. De Renault-motor kan nog altijd niet op tegen de Mercedes V6 en nu loopt ook het nieuwe bodywork nog vertraging op.
