Tom Kristensen opgetrommeld als extra steward

Tom Kristensen verleent komend weekend bij de Australische Grand Prix in Melbourne zijn hulp aan de stewards van de internationale autosportbond FIA. De Deen is de eerste oud-coureur in 2015 die als klankbord voor de wedstrijdleiding fungeert.

Kristensen heeft zelf nooit in de Formule 1 geracet. Hij testte wel voor Minardi, Tyrrell en Jaguar, en bereidde bandenleverancier Michelin voor op een terugkeer in de Formule 1 met een Williams uit 2000. Kristensen was vooral succesvol in de 24 uur van Le Mans die hij acht maal op zijn naam schreef. Eind vorig jaar zette hij een punt achter zijn imposante carrière.

Met het allegrootste respect voor Kristenen, maar vinden ze nu echt niemand met iets meer Formule1-ervaring?
