Rosberg bezorgd over kleine problemen met de set-up

Nico Rosberg zette vandaag tweemaal de snelste tijd neer in Melbourne, maar de Mercedes-coureur is nog niet tevreden over zijn Mercedes. Rosberg heeft namelijk moeite zijn wagen goed af te stellen, een probleem waar hij tijdens de wintertests naar eigen zeggen ook al last van had.

"Over het algemeen is het vandaag een goed begin geweest en ben ik blij. Lewis en ik zitten opnieuw erg dicht bij elkaar, dus ik moet morgen en overmorgen alles geven om hem voor te blijven. Ik heb nu alleen nog niet de goede balans in de auto gevonden. De lange stints waren oké maar in de kortere runs heb ik teveel last van overstuur."

"Op dit moment is dat te veel, dus daar moet ik vanavond aan werken. Het wordt een moeilijke missie aangezien er zoveel opties zijn waarop wij de auto in potentie zouden kunnen verbeteren. De juiste keuze maken zodat je naast het probleem oplossen geen nieuwe problemen creëert is erg lastig."

Nico Rosberg is vanzelfsprekend erg blij met het gat dat Mercedes nog steeds heeft richting haar concurrentie: "We zijn altijd blijven kijken naar de andere teams, maar vandaag was echt een goede dag voor ons. Wij hebben veel vertrouwen in morgen."
