Arrivabene: "Politieke invloed van Ferrari is niet afgenomen"

De nieuwe teambaas van Ferrari, Maurizio Arrivabene, gelooft niet dat de politieke invloed van Ferrari de laatste jaren is afgenomen. Het Italiaanse team is de laatste jaren niet erg succesvol geweest en lijkt ingehaald te worden door renstallen als Red Bull Racing en Mercedes, maar dat doet volgens Arrivabene geen afbreuk aan de politieke invloed van de renstal.

Volgens Arrivabene is Ferrari nog steeds immens belangrijk voor de sport: "Ik zou graag willen zien hoeveel mensen op een race af zouden komen als Ferrari niet mee zou doen. Wij vervullen hierin een belangrijke politieke rol."

De Italiaan gelooft daarom dat het de taak is van Ferrari om een belangrijke speler in de Formule 1 te blijven: "Sergio Marchionne (de president van Ferrari) en ik werken enorm hard om het politieke gewicht dat Ferrari achter zich heeft te behouden, en als dat kan zelfs te verbeteren. Ferrari verdient dat. Ik volg Sergio voor de volle honderd procent en ik leer veel van zijn strategische manier van kijken. Zijn ervaring is erg belangrijk voor Ferrari in de Formule 1 en als bedrijf zijnde."

    Maak het nu eerst maar eens waar op de baan, dat ben je wel verplicht naar je loyale fans die toch wel blijven supporten en komen. Verkeerde arrogantie straalt hier een beetje vanaf vind ik.

      Vind ik ook, ook al wordt er naar gevraagd. Zeker als je in je achterhoofd houdt dat Ferrari als nr1 brand te boek stond bij aanvang van seizoen 2014, nu is weggezakt naar ergens onderin de top 10 wat dat betreft. Goed voor de afsplitsing en het bijbehorende aandeel :s. (Daar kan Arrivabene op zich niet zoveel aan doen, behalve zorgen dat Ferrari zsm weer races gaat winnen.

      Ik vind die Arrivabene echt een baas. Zijn looks, zijn uitstraling, zijn teksten; zo wil ik een teambaas van Ferrari zien. Hij is een Briatore, alleen dan met klasse en iets eerlijke hoop ik ;) En van hem kan ik dus juist dit soort teksten heel goed hebben, sterker nog, ik verlang ze van hem.

      Voor uitspraken die beurstechnisch verantwoord zijn en getuigen van (valse) bescheidenheid verwijs ik jullie graag door naar Boullier, Wolff, Whitmarsh, etc. Have fun...

    Deze man was de pr-man en is het nu ook niet verleerd. Ferrari verdient ieder jaar zonder een meter gereden te hebben al $70 miljoen. Dit alleen omdat ze de enige zijn in de F1 sinds het begin. Is dit ook politiek of sport?

    Helemaal eens met snelle eddy,het getuigd van lef en eerlijkheid om te zeggen en doen wat je vind. Zo was het ook een sterke zet om tussen het publiek te gaan zitten met wat hotemetote en coureur en technisch personeel.
