Sainz jr. tevreden na positieve vrijdag

Carlos Sainz jr. beleefde vandaag een positieve eerste werkdag in de kleuren van Toro Rosso. De Spanjaard was in beide sessies sneller dan teamgenoot Verstappen en behaalde de vierde plaats in de ochtend en de zevende plaats in de middag.

Vooral de hoeveelheid gemaakte kilometers viel bij de Toro Rosso-coureur erg goed: "Ik ben erg blij met vandaag. Ik heb lang op dit moment gewacht en uiteindelijk was het een redelijk goede eerste werkdag. Ik voel mij erg comfortabel in de auto en het circuit is erg uitdagend."

"We hebben veel kilometers gemaakt, wat een logisch doel was aangezien ik een rookie ben en hier nog nooit heb geracet. Het was erg leuk. We moeten nu alle data bij langs gaan om te kijken hoe wij ons kunnen verbeteren."
