Karun Chandhok vijf plaatsen straf op startgrid

Karun Chandhok zal na de kwalificatie voor de Grand Prix van China vijf plaatsen terug moeten op de startgrid. De teamleden van Hispania Racing hebben namelijk een verzegeling gebroken op een versnellingsbak van de Indiër.

Tegenwoordig zijn de meeste onderdelen verzengeld door de FIA en je mag alleen aan deze onderdelen werken, dus de verzegeling verwijderen, als er een official bij staat. Dat is niet gebeurd bij Hispania en de auto van Chandhok, dus zal de FIA zich genoodzaakt de Indiër met vijf startplaatsen te straffen.
