Gasly verheugt zich op testdebuut bij Toro Rosso

Pierre Gasly kruipt tijdens de tweedaagse test na de Spaanse Grand Prix op het circuit van Barcelona voor het eerst in een Formule 1-auto. De 19-jarige Fransman, dit jaar voor DAMS actief in de GP2, neemt een testdag voor zijn rekening namens Scuderia Toro Rosso.

Het Formule 1-jaar bestaat in 2015 uit twee tweedaagse testsessies gedurende het seizoen. Naast Spanje is dat na de Grand Prix van Oostenrijk het geval. Van die in totaal vier testdagen moeten teams minimaal twee dagen reserveren voor iemand met maximaal twee Grands Prix achter zijn of haar naam.

Toro Rosso doet in Barcelona in elk geval een beroep op Gasly en daar is de Fransman blij mee. "Ik ben verguld om voor Scuderia Toro Rosso voor de eerste keer in een Formule 1-auto te rijden. Ik ga mijn best doen om alles uit die dag te halen en zoveel mogelijk te leren."

Galsy deed ook mee om het stoeltje naast Max dit jaar en is nu Carlos 'm heeft en Lynn naar Wiliams is, veruit het grootste talent uit de RB opleiding, dus niet meer dan logisch dat hij dit mag doen.

Was zelfs wat vreemd geweest indien hij niet had mogen testen.
