Sauber huiverig voor misbruik van extra motor

Het team van Sauber is voorstander van het toestaan van een vijfde motor voor de coureurs, maar dan wel onder voorbehoud. De Zwitserse renstal waakt voor misbruik van de extra krachtbron. Teambaas Monisha Kaltenborn pleit ervoor dat die motor alleen op vrijdag inzetbaar is.

"Als het leidt tot meer actie in de vrije trainingen op vrijdag, dan steunen wij deze maatregel", begint ze. "Maar dan moeten we het ook zo verwoorden, dat het alleen voor de show is. Het is niet de bedoeling dat we onze oren laten hangen naar de specifieke wensen van enkele teams die bang zijn om in de knel te komen met het maximum aantal motoren per seizoen."

"Onze positie is dat we elke ingreep die de show verbetert ondersteunen, maar beperk het gebruik van die extra motor dan ook alleen tot meer actie op de vrijdag. Sta het niet toe dat een bepaald team daar technisch een voordeel uit haalt. Dat zou niet goed zijn."

    Zeg dan dat je het überhaupt niet wil, omdat je geen vijfde motor kan betalen.

    Ach. Als ze halverwege het seizoen al aan de derde motor toe zijn wordt deze uitspraak 180 graden gedraaid.

    Zou ik ook zeggen nu de ferrari motor een goede greep blijkt te zijn. Had ze renault gehad dan zou er nog zelfs een zesde motor nog wezen.

    Ik zou zeggen geef nog enkele paydrives een contract voor dit jaar en je bent weer op de goede weg haha.

    Elk team dat op welke dag dan ook rijdt (met of zonder extra motor) kan de data die het dan vergaard gebruiken dus sauber ook.
    Maar ja de motor moet betaald worden en daar zal het schoentje wel wringen .

    Ben ik de enige die tegenwoordig spontaan uitslag krijgt als hij weer eens leest dat die Oostenrijkse Plofkip weer wat te kakelen heeft?

      Nou feit is dat ze haarzelf behoorlijk belachelijk heeft gemaakt met die hele Giedo-gate. En dat er momenteel (ook internationaal) een smet kleeft aan haar imago. Haar toneelstukje is vaak de calimero uithangen (was dat geen kip?), en roept al lange tijd dat F1 niet eerlijk om gaat met geld verdelingen etc.

      Als er iemand niet eerlijk is omgegaan met geld en afspraken nakomen, dan is het Monisha wel. Het zou wellicht beter zijn dat ze zich een paar races rustig houdt, en dan weer een rustig aan wat noten op haar zang gaat nemen.
