Williams vast op derde positie in niemandsland

Het team van Williams is een beetje verzeild geraakt in niemandsland. De Britse renstal heeft de derde positie in de pikorde stevig in handen. Mercedes en Ferrari zijn een maatje te groot, de overige teams kunnen niet aan Williams tippen. Het team hangt er een beetje tussenin.

Coureur Felipe Massa: "Eerlijk gezegd zijn we in China gefinisht op de plekken waar we thuis horen. We zijn momenteel het derde team, we eindigden als vijfde en zesde. Uiteraard zouden we graag voor een Ferrari finishen of minder achterstand op Mercedes hebben, maar het is wat het is."

Teamgenoot Valtteri Bottas: "Het is vrij duidelijk dat wij het derde team van dit moment zijn. We hebben een aardige marge ten opzichte van de renstallen achter ons, dus we kunnen al onze energie steken in het dichten van de kloof naar de voorste teams."

    Ik denk dat met name Bottas stiekem had gerekend op zijn eerste overwinning in 2015...

    Bottas valt me een beetje tegen, ik had verwacht dat hij toch wel een tandje sneller was dan Massa. Een overwinning zit er voorlopig onder normale omstandigheden niet in.
    Williams heeft geluk dat het bij Red Bull totaal niet gaat, en komen toch behoorlijk te kort op Mercedes en Ferrari.

    Denk voor de lol eens Ferrari en Mercedes weg, zet daar dan 2 teams voor in de plaats van het kaliber RB - TR.. wat een geweldige concurrentie strijd zou dat zijn ;-)

    Vindt er geen bal aan met die Mercedes en Ferrari's elke race in de top 4.

    Hamilton, Vettel, Hamilton, Rosberg, Hamilton, Vettel, Hamilton, Rosberg, Vettel, Hamilton, Hamilton blahhhh.

    Ze kunnen beter in de zijspiegeltjes naar achteren kijken, want aan die kant zullen ze eerder wagens tijdens de race gaan zien dan van voren.

    Zou Max graag zien in een Williams, zou nog een tandje sneller gaan denk ik.

    En mensen bij Ferrari Felipe afschrijven. Hij is en blijft een top coureur, zeker niet in de top 3 van de F, maar verder vind ik hem wel beter dan bijvoorbeeld Rosberg.

      Inderdaad, waar zitten degenen die Massa beschreven als een pannenkoek en Bottas als een toptalent. Je ziet wel als hij geen pech heeft hij sneller is dan Bottas, heeft hij trouwens vorig jaar ook al laten zien.
