Salo voorziet racestewards in Bahrein van advies

Mika Salo vult komend weekend bij de Grand Prix van Bahrein het team van stewards van de internationale autosportbond FIA aan als oud-coureur. De Fin fungeerde vorig jaar bij de Grand Prix van Japan voor het laatst als adviseur van de wedstrijdleiding.

Salo stond zelf tussen 1994 en 2002 aan de start van 109 Grands Prix. Hij verdedigde de eer van Lotus, Tyrrell, Arrows, BAR, Ferrari, Sauber en Toyota. Namens Ferrari behaalde hij zijn enige twee podiumplekken. De Fin verzamelde in totaal 33 punten.
