Bleekemolen verkrijgt startbewijs voor Le Mans

Jeroen Bleekemolen verschijnt dit jaar toch aan de start van de 24 uur van Le Mans. Zijn team Riley Motorsports stond bovenaan de reservelijst bij organisator ACO en nadat een van de teams uit de LMP2-klasse zich terug had getrokken ging het startbewijs naar Riley Motorsports.

Bleekemolen bestuurt samen met Ben Keating en Marc Miller een Dodge Viper GTS-R in de GTE-Am klasse. "Het is geweldig om weer deel te nemen aan Le Mans. Dit wordt mijn tiende keer, dat is wel speciaal. Om dat met een Viper te doen is super! We wisten dat we een kans hadden, als eerste reserve, maar totdat de bevestiging komt kun je nergens zeker van zijn."

"Het team werkt hard om zich voor te bereiden. We hebben de auto reeds getest. Uiteraard proberen we een mooi resultaat te behalen. Onze klasse winnen is het doel, maar dat is geen gemakkelijke opgave", aldus Bleekemolen.
