Nieuwe turbo en MGU-K voor Max Verstappen

Scuderia Toro Rosso heeft een nieuwe Turbo Charger en een nieuw MGU-K systeem gemonteerd in de auto van Max Verstappen. Voor beide onderdelen geldt dat dit het tweede exemplaar is voor de jonge Nederlander dit seizoen. Hij zit dus nog niet in de gevarenzone.

Anders is dat voor Daniil Kvyat. De Rus van Red Bull Racing is al toe aan zijn derde Internal Combustion Engine. Ook beide rijders van Ferrari en Force India-coureur Nico Hülkenberg hebben de verbrandingsmotor laten vervangen voor het weekend in Bahrein.

Kvyat en Hülkenberg beschikken beiden tevens over een verse turbo, een nieuw MGU-H en een nieuw MGU-K. McLaren heeft na de problemen in de eerste vrije training de Control Electronics en Energy Store bij de auto van Jenson Button verwisseld.
