Vettel geen fan van avondrace in Bahrein

Sebastian Vettel zou dit weekend liever onder de brandende zon hebben gereden dan onder kunstlicht. De Ferrari-coureur laat weten geen voorstander te zijn van de nieuwe starttijd in Bahrein.

De koelere omstandigheden zouden ervoor zorgen dat Ferrari verder van Mercedes verwijderd zit dan bijvoorbeeld in Maleisië. Toen versloeg Sebastian Vettel Hamilton en Rosberg en pakte hij zijn eerste overwinning voor Ferrari. Vettel: "Het probleem dit weekend is dat wij niet onder de zon rijden. Ik verwacht daardoor niet dat wij vooraan mee kunnen doen zoals in Maleisië."

Volgens Vettel is een botsing tussen Rosberg en Hamilton voor hem de beste kans op een overwinning: "Zo'n scenario zou mij het beste uitkomen, maar ik denk niet dat zoiets zal gebeuren. Beide coureurs zijn erg volwassen, en de kans dat ze elkaar uit de race rijden is erg klein."

Nee, zou ik ook zeggen als mijn auto beter is in de hitte. Zowel de Ferrari's als de STR kunnen beter met de banden overweg met hete temperaturen.
