McLaren ontkracht berichten over boze Button

Jenson Button zou zondag woedend weggestormd zijn nadat bleek dat zijn auto niet in staat was om te starten in de Grand Prix van Bahrein. De Brit zou zijn media-verplichtingen genegeerd hebben. Dat schrijft de Mirror. McLaren is er als de kippen bij om die berichten tegen te spreken.

Een woordvoerder van de renstal verklaarde: "Jenson heeft de race in Bahrein gewoon afgekeken op de schermen in onze hospitality-ruimte. Tijdens dat proces schreef en verstuurde hij nog wat verhelderende en vermakelijke tweets."

"Na afloop van de race verlieten Jenson en zijn vrouw Jessica het circuit met toestemming van het team. Daarbij hebben ze keurig afscheid genomen van iedereen. Om dan te zeggen dat hij weggestormd is, zoals sommige sensatiebeluste kranten hebben gedaan, is volkomen onzin."

Ik geloof hier ook niets van. Frustratie? Vast wel. Maar hij tweette zeer positief tijdens de race. Zei geloof ik ook al in ronde 8 dat we goed op Raikkonen moesten gaan letten, omdat die zijn banden zo goed aan het sparen was. Had duidelijk een vooruitziende blik ;)

    En wat dan nog. Hij had er alle aanleiding toe als het wel zo was... Dit moet toch gigantisch frustrerend zijn.

      Niet echt iets wat hij vantevoren niet kon weten toch? Zal hem ook vrij duidelijk zijn gemaakt toen hij bijtekende.

      Dat je wagen elke sessie in het weekend stilvalt voor ie er goed en wel mee gereden had. Dat zal ie nite op voorhand geweten hebben.

    Als McLaren of Ron Dennis het ontkennen, dan is het dus wel zo. Denk dat er morgen wel een persbericht komt dat Jenson door een windvlaag werd weggeblazen.
