Lauda heeft geen sympathie voor organisatoren Duitse GP

Niki Lauda voelt geen enkele sympathie voor de organisatoren van de Duitse Grand Prix. De race die deze zomer gehouden zou worden werd afgelast nadat het evenement het niet eens kon worden met Bernie Ecclestone. Volgens Lauda is het wegvallen van de race wél erg goed voor de Grand Prix in Oostenrijk.

Wat Lauda vooral niet begrijpt, is dat Mercedes heeft aangeboden een groot deel van de kosten op zich te nemen: "We zouden vijftig procent van een eenjarig contract op ons hebben genomen, maar alsnog konden ze het niet rond krijgen."

Ook de organisatoren krijgen ervan langs: "Ze zeuren dat ze Bernie Ecclestone moeten betalen, maar de schuld licht volledig bij hunzelf. Als je kijkt naar andere landen, bijvoorbeeld in Azië, dan zie je hoe hard daar is gewerkt voor een race. Ik geloof niet dat hetzelfde hier is gebeurd. Nu is er geen race in Duitsland, veel mensen zullen daardoor naar de race in Oostenrijk komen."

Vind je niet dat het de wereld op zijn kop is? F1 zou moeten betalen om ergens te mogen rijden (op goedgekeurde circuits middels keuringen van de FIA).

    Andere landen betalen die kleine dictator veel te veel. Begin dan niet over Azië want daar is de sport mijlenver van de fans af, behalve in Japan.

    Door dat soort landen zich in te laten kopen op de kalender gaat de sport kapot door afnemende interesse van fans in Europa plus dat gezeik over de regels omtrent motoren en geluid enzovoort.

    Niki, jij zou beter moeten weten en vaak ben ik het met je eens maar ik verwacht je snel bij mij thuis op kantoor want wat je nu brabbeld kan niet.

    Klopt misschien wat je zegt Erwinnaar, maar we weten natuurlijk niet wat er zich achter de schermen heeft afgespeeld. Feit is wel dat Bernie de normale fee al door de helft had gedaan voor dit jaar (heeft hij gezegd in interview met Sky), en als Mercedes daarvan ook nog de helft voor de rekening zou nemen zouden ze dus onder de streep maar 25% van een normale fee betalen.

    Dat gezgd hebbende denk ik dat het eerlijker voor iedereen zou zijn om de fee achteraf te betalen en dan als een percentage van de inkomsten, met eventueel een minimum bedrag. Zo kunnen de promoters overleven als ze hun werk goed doen om de race fatsoenlijk te promoten en de tribunes vol zitten. De prijzen kunnen wat omlaag omdat het niet meer nodig is om belachelijke toegangsprijzen te vragen om de fee voor Bernie te betalen. Hierdoor ook weer volle tribunes, en dus ook geld genoeg voor Bernie en consorten.

      Klopt wel, je weet inderdaad niet juist onder welke voorwaarde Mecedes of bernie het geld voorschieten. In het verleden heeft bernie nog landen ( zo ge zegt) geholpen door b.v 50 proc. van het geld zelf in te brengen. maar wat bleek ! . Dat hij dus ook voor 50% mede organisator was en dus ook 50 % van de inkomsten kreeg. Als Mersedes ook een soort gelijke deal had ! ? dan kan je als organisator wel al het werk doen maar heb je geen garantie je er ook nog iets aan over houd. Dan heb je wel een Duitse g p dit jaar ,maar misschien nog meer schulden nadien.
