Frank Williams onvermoeibaar door als teambaas

Frank Williams is niet van plan om met pensioen te gaan. De dag dat hij stopt met werken is tevens de dag dat hij zijn laatste adem uitblaast. Dat stelt zijn dochter Claire Williams in gesprek met The Guardian. Frank Williams heeft inmiddels de respectabele leeftijd van 73 bereikt.

Het woord pensioen komt echter niet voor in zijn woordenboek. Claire Williams: "Frank is nog steeds de teambaas. Dat is hij altijd geweest, dat zal ook altijd zo blijven, totdat we hem op een dag aantreffen met zijn gezicht op zijn bureau en hij niet meer beweegt."

"Frank is 24 uur per dag, zeven dagen per week bezig met het team. Hij is meer in de fabriek dan wie dan ook. Hij houdt van zijn werk, hij is nog even gepassioneerd als altijd. Frank is er en hij blijft er, hij heeft geen plannen om met pensioen te gaan. Het zou ook niet hetzelfde zijn zonder hem."
