BMW kijkt niet met weemoed naar de Formule 1

BMW heeft geen spijt van de beslissing om de Formule 1 na 2009 te verlaten. Dat laat motorsportbaas Mario Theissen weten op Motorsport-total.com. De Duitse autofabrikant verbleef vier jaar met een eigen team in de Formule 1 en zegevierde één maal.

Theissen: Wij kijken niet met weemoed naar de Formule 1. Het is een afgesloten hoofdstuk voor BMW en mij. We hebben een fascinerende periode doorgebracht in de Formule 1 en mooie successen behaald. Nu gaan we nieuwe uitdagingen aan. In de toerwagensport, productie-autosport en vooral met de M3 in de GT-serie. Dat zorgt voor genoeg spanning bij ons.
