Hamilton ontevreden na snelste tijd in vrije training

Lewis Hamilton zette tijdens de tweede vrije training in Spanje de snelste tijd neer, maar desondanks was de regerend wereldkampioen ontevreden. Vooral de setup van zijn Mercedes en de sterke, harde wind op het circuit brengen hem aan het twijfelen.

"Op dit moment ben ik niet blij met de balans," zei Hamilton na afloop van de tweede testsessie. "Ik weet niet echt waarom. De auto voelt niet consistent en dat komt waarschijnlijk door de onregelmatige wind. Het ene moment heb je onderstuur, het andere moment overstuur. Het ene moment is de auto perfect, het andere moment weer totaal niet."

"Dit maakt het maken van een setup voor dit weekend enorm lastig. Ik weet niet of er minder grip op het circuit is, het voelt alsof we weer in Melbroune rijden."

Daarnaast ziet Hamilton achter zich het gevaar van zijn teamgenoot opdoemen. Hamilton was namelijk niet degene met de snelste tijd van de dag; Rosberg was 0.03 seconden sneller tijdens de eerste vrije training: "Ik denk dat Rosberg erg snel is dit weekend, ik moet mijzelf voor de rest van het weekend verbeteren."
