Rosberg ziet eerste startplek als stap in juiste richting

Nico Rosberg is erg blij met zijn eerste pole position van het seizoen. De Duitser troefde teamgenoot Lewis Hamilton op snelheid af, en Rosberg kijkt dan ook met goede moed uit naar de race van morgen.

Op de vraag of Rosberg deze pole position nodig had, antwoordde de Duitser: "Dat is een groot woord, maar het is absoluut een stap in de juiste richting om te winnen.", aldus de Mercedes-coureur.

"De strategie wordt erg belangrijk morgen. We hebben een extra setje gebruikte banden, dus dat is een voordeel voor morgen. Ook is het erg lastig om in te halen op deze baan, dus om dan vooraan te starten is zeker een voordeel."
