Hamilton hint naar contractnieuws in Monaco

Lewis Hamilton en Mercedes lijken het dan toch eindelijk eens te zijn over een nieuw contract. De onderhandelingen tussen de regerend wereldkampioen en de Duitse renstal namen langer in beslag dan verwacht, maar een aankondiging is nu aanstaande.

Hamilton reageerde in de Britse pers als volgt op de berichten dat het niet goed ging tussen hem en Mercedes: "Dat is niet het geval, dat is zelfs volkomen onzin. Alle verhalen die over geld naar buiten zijn gekomen zijn over het algemeen nonsens. Jullie zien het wel in Monaco, daar zal ik wat nieuws voor jullie hebben."

Na de Maleisische Grand Prix verkondigden beide partijen al dat ze er voor '99,6 procent' uit waren wat betreft een nieuwe verbintenis. Daarna heeft het nog bijna twee maanden geduurd voordat Hamilton en Mercedes een definitief akkoord bereikten.

Huh!? Dat heeft Hamilton in 2012 toch al gedaan door van het goed presterende McLaren naar de iets minder presterend Mercedes over te stappen. Je stopt als rijder hier één keer energie in en daarna niet meer. Anders blijf je aan de gang!!

    Ik zou hem graag bij een ander team zien.. Zoals een aantal grote namen in het verleden hebben gedaan, de overstap naar iets minder presterend team om hun weer boven aan mee te laten draaien.

      Marcio, McLaren was in 2012 toch enigszins vergelijkbaar met MB in 2013? In 2012 reed Schumacher trouwens nog bij MB. Dus echt veel slechter was MB op dat moment helemaal niet. Ik denk zelf trouwens dat die slechte jaren van MB allemaal in t teken stonden van de huidige successen. De voorbereiding hiervan was al jaren aan de gang en hierin hebben ook Rosberg en Schumacher de hand gehad. Dus zo raar was die overstap achteraf gezien helemaal niet.

      F!RULES je zegt het goed "achteraf gezien" Destijds verklaarde bijna iedereen hem voor gek dat hij die stap durfde maken. En M.Schumi hij heeft deze stap al gemaakt.

    Hamilton gaat Mercedes niet verlaten, die rijden nog jaren vooraan als er niets veranderd wat motoren betreft. Die zal gek zijn. Hamilton heeft de kans om Schumacher uit de recordboeken te schrijven, zal hij niet nalaten denk ik zo.

    Je zou verwachten dat bij MB en Hamilton alles 100 % ok is. Ik bedoel, de auto is het beste en dat zal voorlopig nog wel even blijven zo en hij kan er een mooie cent mee verdienen. Vraag ik me als leek dan toch af waarom t zolang moet duren. Is het allemaal een storm in een glas water of spelen er serieus andere dingen. IK zelf denk gewoon dat het om garanties gaat mbt 1e rijder en centjes. Ben benieuwd wat hij in Monaco gaat zeggen wat wij nog niet weten of vermoeden.

      Wat ik vermoed is dat Lewis in de McLaren tijd, ervaring heeft opgebouwd van wat hij wil en niet wil. Dat hij intelligent genoeg is om de contract bespreking, en het vast leggen ervan, alle haken en ogen kenbaar maakt en bespreekt. Natuurlijk zal het niet allemaal om het geld gaan, maar ook merchandises enzovoort. Reden dat ik dat zeg is vooral te danken dat McLaren de bekers zelf wilde houden en andere opties.

    Mercedes heeft Nico in Spanje een iets snellere auto gegeven en tegen Lewis gezegd dat blijven we doen tot je getekend heb. Dan weten we tenminste zeker dat we volgend jaar de Kampioen in het team hebben.
    Ohh ja, denkt Lewis nu ..... Waar moet ik tekenen !
    P.S. dit is als hummor bedoeld dus ga nou niet gelijk weer lopen minnen, het leven is al serieus genoeg ;-)
