Manor versterkt gelederen met engineer Pisanello

Het team van Manor heeft een ervaren engineer in de persoon van Gianluca Pisanello aangetrokken. Pisanello was in het verleden werkzaam bij Toyota en stond de afgelopen jaren in dienst van Caterham. Bij Manor bekleedt hij de functie van hoofdengineer en head of trackside engineering.

Teambaas John Booth deelde aan Autosport mede: "We waren al langer op zoek naar iemand van het kaliber van Gianluca. Met zijn ervaring kan hij heel belangrijk zijn voor onze jonge groep engineers. We hadden iemand nodig die het klappen van de zweep kent."

"Gianluca is de aangewezen persoon om onze engineers de kneepjes van het vak te leren. We hadden al een aardige structuur. Dave Greenwood heeft ons wat procedures en dergelijke betreft goed achtergelaten. Gianluca zal zijn eigen ideeën hebben en het is goed om zijn kalmerende, gezaghebbende stem aan de pitmuur te horen. Hij is echt een aanwinst voor ons."

Het is goed om zijn kalmerende, gezaghebbende stem aan de pitmuur te horen....... Het is te hopen dat zijn kalmerende stem geen invloed op de race pace heeft. Het gaat zo al langzaam genoeg.
