Manor staat met polsbandjes stil bij Jules Bianchi

Bij Manor dragen alle teamleden dit weekend een polsbandje om stil te staan bij de opmerkelijke prestatie van Jules Bianchi van een jaar geleden. De Fransman kwam twaalf maanden terug als achtste over de meet in Monaco. Door een straf zakte hij nog terug naar de negende positie.

Dat mocht de pret niet drukken, want Bianchi scoorde zijn eerste punten in de Formule 1 en ook voor Marussia/Manor betrof het de eerste en tot nu toe enige puntenfinish in de koningsklasse van de autosport. Het wrange is dat de Fransman er dit keer niet bij is. Hij vecht in het ziekenhuis voor zijn leven.

Bianchi raakte ernstig gewond na een harde crash tijdens de Japanse Grand Prix. Als gebaar om hem te eren hebben de teamleden van Manor dit weekend allemaal een felrood bandje om de pols met als opschrift 'MONACO 2014. P8. #JB17'.
