Rosberg kwam niet in zijn ritme tijdens cruciale kwalificatieronden

Nico Rosberg kwam tijdens de kwalificatie voor de Grand Prix van Monaco tot de tweede startpositie. De Duitser kon niet tippen aan teamgenoot Lewis Hamilton en dat lag volgens Rosberg voornamelijk aan zichzelf. Het ritme ontbrak bij de Mercedes-coureur.

Rosberg blokkeerde tweemaal zijn wielen bij het aanremmen van de eerste bocht, volgens de Duitser een onschuldig probleem. "Ik had op het begin een goed ritme, maar naarmate de sessie vorderde, werd het minder. Ik ging er wel voor, maar het lukte simpelweg niet."

"Er was niet echt een serieus probleem en ik dacht dat ik me wel kon verbeteren", vervolgt Rosberg. "Ik veranderde wat aan de auto en had er vertrouwen in, maar het gebeurde vervolgens niet. Dat is alles."
