FIA verzwaart controle op flexibele voorvleugel

De internationale autosportbond FIA gaat met onmiddellijke ingang strenger toezien op de naleving van de regels met betrekking op de beweegbaarheid van de voorvleugel. De federatie heeft alle teams via een brief daarvan op de hoogte gesteld.

De FIA richt zich daarbij vooral op alle flappen en uitsteeksels die de voorvleugels van tegenwoordig bevatten. Bij een kracht van 60 Newton zal het bodywork niet meer dan drie millimeter mogen verbuigen. Het is niet duidelijk of de internationale autosportbond zich hiertoe gedwongen voelt door een van de huidige ontwerpen van de teams.

Wel toepasselijk dat de afbeelding van een Williams gebruikt is, ik meende in Maleisie al flex in de voorvleugel bij Williams te zien. Ik ben eens benieuwt welke teams nu aanpassingen aan de vleugels gaan doen of wie er door de mand vallen.
