Organisatie GP van Rusland leert van debuutrace

De organisatie van de Russische Grand Prix heeft verbeteringen beloofd voor de tweede editie van hun evenement. Het eerste Formule 1-weekend in Sotsji was geen onverdeeld succes. Zo was de race niet al te denderend en had het qua service richting de bezoekers ook beter gekund. Dat eerste hebben ze niet echt in de hand, maar wat dat laatste betreft hebben ze in Rusland wel wat geleerd.

Althans, dat beweert promotor Sergey Vorobyev tegenover Autosport. "We hebben de eerste editie van onze Grand Prix grondig bestudeerd en ik hoop dat de bezoekers die dit jaar opnieuw komen vooruitgang bespeuren. Er zijn diverse punten waarop we ons dienen te verbeteren, zoals catering voor het publiek, diversificatie in het aanbod van voedsel en meer aandacht voor kinderen."

"We moeten iets doen aan het openbaar vervoer. Het was niet slecht, maar het kan beter. Net als vorig jaar hebben we 55.000 zitplaatsen. We brengen meer verschil aan in de beschikbare kaarten. Zo introduceren we tickets voor twee dagen, terwijl je vorig jaar alleen een ticket voor vier dagen kon kopen. Er komen ook staanplaatsen. De prijzen van de kaarten blijven hetzelfde."
