Vettel: "Ecclestone moet ticketprijzen omlaag gooien"

Sebastian Vettel heeft teruggeslagen richting Bernie Ecclestone. De oude Brit zei dat de viervoudig wereldkampioen te weinig voor de Formule 1 doet, en dat mensen hem amper herkennen op straat. Dit zou eraan hebben bijgedragen dat de race in Duitsland dit jaar niet doorgaat.

Vettel zegt zich niet druk te maken om de uitspraken van Ecclestone, en zegt juist dat Bernie verantwoordelijk is voor het kwijtraken van de race. Volgens Vettel moet de F1-baas naar manieren kijken om de Formule 1 te helpen, en niet constant verwachten dat rijders die taak op zich nemen: "Ik denk dat Bernie in een veel betere positie zit om meer tickets te verkopen, door ze bijvoorbeeld goedkoper te maken."

Ecclestone verkoopt de tickets voor de races niet zelf, maar vraagt van de organisatoren wel vijftig miljoen dollar per race. Volgens Vettel moet dit bedrag omlaag, om zo de sport toegankelijker te maken.

    Ik ben het met Vettel eens. Een indycar ticket kost maximaal 150 dollar (op de racedag). Daar heb je in de f1 nog niet eens een staplaats voor.

    Wat vreemd , Bernie moet niks van Vettel hebben , terwijl je op internet wel honderden foto's ziet waar Bernie en Vettel samen lachend op 1 foto staan.

      Waar staat dat Bernie niks van Vettel moet hebben?
      Volgens mij heeft Bernie Vettel regelmatig de hemel ingeprijsd en aardig wat veren in zijn reet gestopt.
      Hij was een van de eerste die Vettel Schumi 2.0 had genoemd.

      Het blijft een flapdrol, eerder liep ie inderdaad weg met Vettel. Nu is Lewis zn nieuwe pet-driver.

      Ecclestone is als de gemiddelde voetbalfan; draait altijd mee met de wind. Wanneer Vettel kampioen wordt is Vettel de man, wanneer Hamilton kampioen wordt is Hamilton de man, wanneer JB kampioen wordt is JB de man, wanneer Alonso kampioen wordt is Alonso de man, wanneer Max kampioen wordt is Max de man ;)

      M4URacing; eigenlijk is Bernie toch een Duitser...; die zie je ook niet meer aan de baan als er geen Duitser vooraan rijdt. Was altijd mooi als Schumacher uitviel vroeger; halve talud liep leeg.
      Met tennis en wielrennen doen ze dat ook, in de tijden van Ulrich was de Tour live op de Duitse TV omdat Doping Ulli het goed deed.
      In Nederland zijn we er aan gewend nooit voor de prijzen mee te doen dus wij vinden het altijd wel leuk...

    Als ik Vettel was, dan zou ik me niet zo druk maken om wat Ecclestone zegt. Vettel heeft nog járen voor de boeg als coureur terwijl voor Bernie de koek zo onderhand echt wel een keer op zal zijn.

      Ha ha. Ja, inderdaad. Vettel en Verstappen zouden het weleens goed met elkaar kunnen vinden. Komt mooi uit als Max t.z.t. naar Ferrari gaat. ;-)

      Dat zou fantastisch zijn en niet onrealistisch voor de toekomst als Verstappen het zo goed blijft doen (en dat staat voor mij al wel vast, die gaat niet ten onder in die slangenkuil, bijt ze hooguit hun kop af :)), want tijdens de winter-series in Florida is er heus wel gesproken met ze.

      Idem. het is een half uur rijden voor mij naar Spa maar ik vind het niet de moeite waard met die prijzen. En sinds wanneer weet de man op straat hoe de F1 rijders er uit zien? je er zijn nu en dan uitzonderlijke rijders die iedereen kent maar dat is meer omdat ze veel in het nieuws komen. Buiten ons F1 liefhebbers zijn er niet veel die al van Vettel gehoord hebben.

      En daar is trouwens niets mis mee. Ik heb niets met voetbal en ken ook niemand daar. ik heb al eens gehoord van Ronaldo maar heb geen idee hoe die man er uit ziet.

    Dikke plus voor Vettel!! Hij heeft gewoon helemaal gelijk. Vraag mij alleen af waarom Vettel bij Ecclestone niet meer goed in het boekje staat. Een paar jaar geleden riep Ecclestone nog dat Vettel Het beste uithangbord voor de sport was en nu is dit opeens Hamilton. Denk dat hij gewoon geilt op diegene die wereldkamioen is op dit moment, wordt het volgend jaar oemand anders dat is diegene het uithangbord.

    Ik geef F1 nog maximaal 3 à 4 jaar voordat het definitief sneuvelt. Het jonger publiek kan zich het kijken niet permitteren daar het (bijna) overal achter de decoder te zien is... ten tweede een tikketje kost al gauw 100€ en je hebt klote plaatsen voor dat geld. Maak een ticket vanaf 39€ tot max. 200€ en dan pas zal er cash in het la-tje stromen. Eikelstone moet zeer dringend opgesloten in een gesticht

    Ecclestone zal hier wel hetzelfde overdenken zoals hij reageerde op Sky over het feit dat de teams het bijtanken willen terugdraaien... Teams kunnen zich beter bezighouden met waar ze goed in zijn, het managen van een raceteam!

    Dus Vettel, hou jij je maar bezig met waar je goed in bent; race! Ome Bernie weet het allemaal beter ;)
