Hakkinen: "Ferrari moet spin Raikkonen uitleggen"

Voormalig Formule 1-kampioen Mika Hakkinen is van mening dat Ferrari uitleg moet geven over de spin die Raikkonen maakte tijdens de Grand Prix van Canada.

De tweevoudig wereldkampioen zegt over zijn landgenoot: "De reden van Kimi's spin is onduidelijk. Ferrari heeft niet exact verteld wat er is gebeurd. Als ze dit wel doen zouden de speculaties hierover stoppen. In ieder geval is hierdoor een podiumplek simpelweg vergooid."

Hakkinen denkt tevens dat het verhaal over engine mapping de juiste kan zijn: "Als een coureur de pits verlaat en de wagen heeft een andere setting dan moet het team dat opmerken."

In het achterhoofd dient wel meegenomen te worden dat Hakkinen betrokken is bij het management van Valtteri Bottas, die ook in verband wordt gebracht met Ferrari om zijn landgenoot Raikkonen op te volgen. De Italianen zouden de druk zelf ook opvoeren op Raikkonen, die naar verwachting uiteindelijk plaats moet maken voor een jong talent dat naast Vettel zal rijden vanaf 2016.

    Wederom een reden om de telemetrie aan banden te leggen. Als het team zo ff de mapping kan wijzigen tijdens een pitstop en de bestuurder secundair is aan de input van de ECU is er iets mis.

      En volgens mij mag dat ook niet , settings veranderen van pit naar auto , een coureur moet de settings veranderen

      Je slaat hier alles door elkaar, plus dat je beweert dat ze sowieso vanuit de pits de engine map gewijzigd hebben.

      Telemetrie slaat enkel op het vastleggen van verschillende parameters zoals de input van gas, rem, draaicirkel etc etc..

      Het team kan dan ook enkel parameters constanteren en vastleggen, wat trouwens 'in real time' doorgegeven wordt aan de FIA. Als ze de pits inkomen om banden te vervangen wordt er sowieso van engine map veranderd waarbij ook de speed limiter geactiveerd wordt. Ofwel kwam het probleem door een software fout, ofwel door het verkeer bedienen van Kimi.

      Die map zit standaard in de gehele enginemap. Als de pitlimiter uitgaat is het 1e rondje de andere map. Wordt dus niets gewijzigd tijdens de pitstop. Van te voren geregeld.

      Ik vraag mij altijd af. Als de auto niet meer weet waar hij op het circuit rijdt, kun je dan nog een normaal rondje rijden? Kers e.d. gaat allemaal automatisch via enginemaps.

    Ik vond Mika eigenlijk altijd wel een geschikte vent, maar sinds hij Bottas op schaamteloze wijze aan het pushen is, stel ik mijn mening toch bij.

    Kimi ging gewoon tevroeg op het gas. Simpel, wat een gedoe toch steeds als er al iets fout loopt.

    Kijk de slomo maar eens goed terug. Halverwege de bocht zie je het hoofd van Kimi ineens achterover tegen de headrest tikken. Kan volgens mij alleen maar duidelijk op een plotselinge vermogensafgifte waar hij zelf geen input voor gaf. Denk zomaar eens dat Kimi wel degelijk een punt heeft...

      Was mij idd ook al opgevallen Marco alleen pleit dat Kimi niet meteen vrij aangezien dat ook kan gebeuren als hij een fout maakt door bv te veel gas te geven of iets dergelijks. Ben bang dat de echte waarheid nooit naar buiten komt. Zoals wel vaker gebeurt in de F1.

      De engine map stond verkeerd waardoor er bij de kleinste input op het gaspedaal er meteen veel vermogen vrij kwam. De vraag is, heeft kimi een verkeerde setting (engine map) geselecteerd, of kwam dit door een software fout waarbij hij het juiste programma selecteerde en in een onverwachte engine map kwam.

    Kan me niet voorstellen dat dit een fout van kimi is.
    Ok dat je wat spin krijgt in een bocht door teveel gas dat kan maar op de gas blijven drukken totdat je een donut maakt?
    Nee zelfs mijn moeder van 70 zou eerder van de gas zijn gegaan in zo'n spin ;-)
