'Rijders van streek vanwege kritiek op Formule 1'

Volgens Carlos Sainz zijn hij en enkele andere Formule 1-coureurs van streek vanwege de aanhoudende kritiek op de Formule 1. De Spanjaard hoopt dat de onlangs gelanceerde fan enquête een positieve impact heeft op de toekomst van de sport.

"Wij vinden het niet leuk wat er momenteel gebeurt," zegt Sainz. "Elke week is er iemand anders die de sport bekritiseert. Dit is onze passie, ons werk, en wij houden er niet van wanneer mensen hier kritiek op hebben."

"Ook wij proberen goede veranderingen door te voeren, om te laten zien dat de Formule 1 nog steeds leeft. Wij willen laten zien dat de auto´s niet makkelijk te besturen zijn, en dat het enorm lastig is om zeventig ronden te racen zonder fouten te maken."

"Na de enquête hebben wij de meningen van de fans verzameld en natuurlijk de opinies van de rijders. Wij zullen deze bij elkaar voegen tot een soort handboek 'wat de fans en rijders willen doen'. Dat zal erg positief zijn voor de sport."

Het probleem is de Strategy Group die er niets van bakt, het is 1 potje lobby en dan kunnen ook geen radicale veranderingen komen en zolang deze niet spoedig komen is F1 ten dode geschreven

    Ja Saints, thats all in the game.
    Daar heeft het publiek recht op want zij vormen het betaansrecht van alle sporten en door hun kunnen jullie in peperdure dure bolides rijden en flinke salarissen opstrijken.
    Uiteraard moet het wel binnen het redelijke blijven en reeel zijn.

    Maar wel positief dat het wel de gemoederen bezig houdt

      mee eens! de sport keek in het verleden nooit naar fans en kwam ermee weg, het is positief dat de meningen van het publiek doordringen tot de f1

      Tijd voor een baas-move! Het bewijs dat Piquet beter kon sturen dan vechten :) Dit is o.a. wat F1 gaaf maakte, incl. het ongepolijste gedrag van rijders (geeft m nog ff de vinger terwijl ie m er driftend voorbij zet)

      Nou Jean, ik heb begrepen dat dit slipstreamen is. Dat schenen ze vroeger te doen voordat men mario-kart functies in een F1 wagen hebben gestopt. Volgend jaar kunnen ze ook bananen gooien. Vroegah stak men heel ordinair een middelvinger op bij gebrek aan de banaan-gooi knop. Nu krijg je daar een gridstraf voor :)

    De formule 1 is ook gewoon niet meer zo leuk als voorheen.
    Op alle fronten is de formule 1 achteruit gegaan , het uiterlijk van de auto's , het geluid van de motoren , de regels , etc etc.
    Je kunt moeilijk gaan volhouden dat er niks aan de hand is in de formule 1 wereld.

    Coureurs moeten eens gaan miepen bij de teambazen en de teambazen moeten vervolgens eens flink met de vuist op tafel slaan bij Fia. De F1 is al heel wat jaartjes achteruit aan het gaan. Sinds de regels mbt veligheid is de F1 hoofdzakelijk achteruit gegaan, rijders zijn mietjes en overbetaald. De snelheid moet omhoog en zeker in de bochten, uitloopstroken moeten verdwijnen en alle kunstmatige troep al helemaal. Ik denk dat er een goede oplossing is en dat is terug naar de regels van rond de eeuwwisseling.

    Denk dat het probleem is dat er geen onafhankelijke instantie is die gaat beslissen die richting gaan we op en deze regels gaan we door voeren.

    Nu heb je soms FIA die weer bepaalde regels maakt. Teams die met elkaar besluiten we gaan het zo doen er is gewoon geen duidelijkheid wie uiteindelijk bepaald welke richting we op gaan.

    Bovendien wordt er nu eigenlijk alleen naar de F1 op de baan gekeken maar moet toch ook meer naar het totale plaatje worden gekeken. Hoe is de interactie van het hele F1 circus met de fans.

    Prijzen voor de F1 rijzen de pan uit en niemand die er wat aan doet. De 'normale' fan kan straks niet eens F1 zien. Geen geld om eens naar de F1 op circuit te kijken en vinden het vaak niet waard om alleen een abo te nemen om F1 te kijken. ( Al moet ik zeggen dat Sport 1 nu wel stukken beter is geworden met eigen kanaal voor racing).
