Hamilton: "Iedere seconde gaat tellen morgen"

Lewis Hamilton verwacht een spannende race morgen. De Brit kwalificeerde zich ondanks een spin als eerste voor de Grand Prix van Oostenrijk, maar de regerend kampioen verwacht alles behalve een eenvoudige overwinning. 

"Het eerste kwalificatiedeel was een lastige sessie voor iedereen, gezien de omstandigheden", vertelt Hamilton. "Ik ben erg dankbaar dat het gelukt is. Ik bleef pushen voor mijn laatste ronde, maar blokkeerde mijn achterwielen. Ik was niet direct bang dat ik de pole position verloren had, ik was meer bezig met het verzorgen van de auto."

Gevraagd of Hamilton morgen een spannende race verwacht, antwoordde de Brit: "Ja, want de racesnelheid van Ferrari is erg goed, net als die van Williams. Het wordt een lastige race morgen. De banden zullen het probleem niet zijn, maar iedere seconde gaat tellen."

Was geen amateuristisch rondje ze zaten gewoon op ja zelfs over de limiet en was het een paar graatjes warmer geweest of veel natter hadden ze niet eens pole gehad.

    Niet voor iedereen Lewis....de beide heren van STR teached you a great lesson.
    Max was op de intermediates het snelste van de dag....jammer dat de regen niet is doorgekomen tijdens de kwali. Hadden de STR boys waarschijnlijk pole geclaimt

      Max was briljant in die eerste koude natte ronden. Ongeëvenaard. Daarna werd de baan elke ronde sneller en verviel zijn voordeel. Heel knap desondanks.

    Wat een onzin weer , als de Mercedes coureurs na een amateuristisch rondje nog altijd een dubbelslag slaan , dan is die auto niet 1 klap beter maar 3 klappen beter dan de concurrentie.

      Haha, amateuristisch? Volgens mij bleek oo het laatst dat ze over het limiet aan het pushen waren. Toch wel knap van een amateur om 45 poles bij elkaar te rijden.
      Zouden vettel en kimi ook eens moeten doen, want die ferrari is echt niet trager dan mercedes.

      Ferrari heeft de snelheid van Mercedes nog niet. Maar om nu te roepen dat dit amateuristische rondjes zijn .. Had ook niet anders verwacht dat zo'n reactie van Sailor kwam. Maar als er een stel amateurs op de eerste startrij staan, waarom kijk je dan nog?

    Hier zal de bandenslijtage minder spelen dan elders maar de remmen worden wel zwaar belast en het verbruik zal ook parten spelen

    Wat een bullsh*t weer. Probeert Lewis ons nu wijs te maken dat MB keihard aan t knokken is geslagen voor de pole? Mijn God, het voelt bijna als een belediging man. Hamilton, rij die race morgen uit maar ga niet lopen roepen dat het allemaal zo kantjeboord werk is, want dat is t echt niet.

      Hij moet het natuurlijk wel een beetje spannend brengen.
      Hamilton weet ook wel dat het morgen weer een kat in 't bakkie gaat worden , maar dat staat niet netjes dit te verkondigen , al weten de andere coureurs wel beter

      Mercedes is wellicht iets sneller dan ferrari masr misschien moet ferrari net zo hard werken als mb, dan stonden zij wellicht op 1 en 2. Ooh nee, die andere prutser staat op 17, het lag weer aan de auto van hem en weer niet aan hem ;-)

      Waar baseer je op dat Max de te kloppen man is in het regen? En zelfs regenrijders Lewis, vettel en nico te kijk zet in regen.
